Videos not working?
You will need to have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player installed on your machine to see the video content... download it for free here.
For some of our movies you'll need to have Windows Media Player installed on your machine to see the video content, yep, even you Mac guys out there - download it for Mac here.
All our video content is optimized for users on a broadband connection, so they may take a long time to load on slower connections, please be patient and they'll arrive.
Problems seeing areas of the site?
FSO4 uses Flash for certain areas of the site, so you'll need to get your hands on the latest Flash player to plug-in to your browser. Get over to Adobe to download the latest version, and everything should turn out right.
If not, check your internet connection settings or speed, some areas such as the video player might have large files that are unsuitable for slower connections.
Having difficulty uploading videos?
FSO4's videos all live on the giant You Tube servers - to get your videos to us you have to upload them there first.
Once you've finished editing your video, made sure it's less than 10 minutes, smaller than 100MB, and in an acceptable format, you're ready to upload it. Acceptable formats are QuickTime, .MOV, Windows, .AVI, or .MPG files. These are the most common formats and they work better with the YouTube software. We specifically recommend the MPEG4 (Divx, Xvid) format at 320x240 resolution with MP3 audio. Resizing your video to these specifications before uploading will help your clips look better on YouTube.
- Click "Upload Videos" in the upper-right-hand corner of any YouTube page.
- Enter as much information about your video as possible, including Title, Description, Tags, and Category. The more information you include, the easier it is for users to find your video!
- Click the "Continue Uploading" button.
- In the next window, click the "Browse" button to browse for the video file. Select the file you want to upload.
- Determine if you want your video set to Public or Private.
- Click the "Upload Video" button.
All you need to do then is grab the embed code from your youtube video and past it into your My Media video library - easy!
